ACE provides drainage services for the artificial removal of surface and sub-surface water to prevent flooding and damage. These services include the design and construction of domestic runoff drainage systems, rainwater harvesting, highway drainage, and domestic drainage pavements.
Designed to channel water from properties to the main drainage network, domestic drainage systems can be either single-stack or two-pipe, depending on the property type.
This system removes or controls water from roads and subgrades, preventing erosion and damage. Side drains must have sufficient capacity and slope to effectively carry water away. Proper water flow management across roads and slopes helps prevent cross ruts and deterioration.
Water from roofs is collected using internal outlets, downpipes, or external guttering systems. At least two drainage points are recommended to reduce the risk of blockages.
Paved areas near buildings are designed with a 1:60 slope towards a gully. The type and shape of the area determine the size and number of gullies required for effective drainage.
